Who's behind EmpiFlow
A focused application of a long apprenticeship in operations — the theory of how production should flow, and the lived reality of how it actually does.
Built for the hard kind of factory
We specialise in non-discrete manufacturing — plants where one unit of input doesn't cleanly become one unit of output. That covers a lot of ground: food and pharmaceutical batching, furniture and assembly, steel and metal forming, and plenty besides. If the description below sounds like your floor, it's the kind of plant we build for.
Variable yield
A correctly weighed or measured input still gives a variable output — recipes, cutting, forming, rolling. Four metres of stock should make four parts and often makes three. Planning has to work with that, not pretend it away.
Multi-stage jobs
One job crosses several processes, each with its own work order, sometimes running in parallel, sometimes waiting between stages. Tracing what was consumed and where means tying those stages together.
Work-in-progress reality
Sub-batches that must finish together or wait in storage, bottlenecks that move, and constant decisions about what to release next — the messy parts we model rather than ignore.
What we stand for
We've been on the floor
We know the pain of a plant stuck between paper-and-spreadsheets and full automation — because we have worked inside production systems, not just read about them.
We respect the nuance
At the macro level every plant looks the same. At the micro level, your operating rules and exceptions make it unique. That is what we design around.
We build from evidence
Technology must be derived from empirical data and guided by real KPIs and decisions — not from a feature list someone wanted to sell.
How an EmpiFlow project works
Deliberate, evidence-first, and staged — so you adopt the system gradually, never in a risky overnight switch.
Discovery
We interview the people who run the system and review the data, KPIs, and structures you already have. This is the base of every quote.
Design the data structure
We design how data is captured and documented, shaped around your specific pain point — so the system can answer your real questions.
Build the business rules
We encode the rules that reflect how your process actually behaves, with the assumptions and limits documented in plain language.
Dashboards & support
We add reporting and monitoring where it helps. For large, integrated systems, ongoing technical support is available on an annual basis.
